Synopsis
Familiar characters such as Iron Man, Thor, Spiderman and the rest of the Avengers unite as one to battle against their strongest enemy yet - Thanos. To make his twisted will come true, Thanos goes on a mission to collect all six infinity stones, each giving him a special power capable of massive destruction. The fate of the planet and existence itself wavers as Thanos steps closer towards his goal. All that the Avengers have done has led up to this moment, will the Avengers succeed in their fight against Thanos?

Review
The plot
Avengers: Infinity War is a compilation of many Marvel characters from the different planets of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this movie, the characters are brought together by a common enemy called Thanos. The plot focuses more on Thanos’ backstory, zooming into where and how he shaped his ideals as well as the many things he does to achieve his ‘perfect’ world.
For new viewers who do not follow the Marvel franchise, Infinity War may be quite confusing and you might not be able to get the best out of the movie. The movie is more for fans of Marvel who have watched most of the Marvel characters’ movies and the Avengers series to see their favourite figures come into one movie for a final showdown of sorts.
For those who have chased most of the Marvel franchise, be warned that the superheroes will seem weak compared to the extremely overpowered antagonist with galaxy defying powers.
Action and Comedy
As with all Marvel movies, this movie is full of action. With all sorts of special powers from the varying characters of the Marvel universe, the show is lit with fantastic displays of power. Special esper and supernatural powers, battle technology and hand-to-hand combat litters the show, keeping the audience engrossed in the colourful cinema screen.
In addition to all the action, jokes are cracked along the way. Though subtle, the jokes are enough to fill in more chatty parts of the film and are well placed.
Love
The movie also did not lack romantic scenes. From the start, there were scenes of some heroes being lovey-dovey with their partners. However, the scenes were very cliche and were largely similar to each other, with the main part being prolonged passionate kisses that spanned almost a minute.
Final verdict
Overall, the movie is quite a good watch, whether you are just here for the action, or if you follow the Marvel franchise. Though it is 2 hours and 40 minutes long, it is worth the time and money spent to watch it, and there is plenty of content to talk about with your friends after the show.
